About our Soul Care lessons: One of the most transformative ways we can engage people in spiritual disciplines is to give them the chance to actively practice them alongside a guide. Every lesson in our Soul Care series introduces a spiritual discipline and walks participants through a guided practice of the discipline! This type of experiential learning is empowering of personal faith development and helps the classroom become a sacred space for the pursuit of discipleship.

This lesson is part of a series on ancient spiritual practices which are native to the Jewish faith tradition and still practiced in that faith community to this day.
